Genetic Analysis Integration Tools now available from Geospiza
As a direct result of the expanded Applied Biosystems | Geospiza collaboration agreement announced in August 2006, Geospiza released a new software tool that integrates Geospiza Finch® Suite with several top Applied Biosystems’ applications for genetic analysis.
The new collaboration agreement is a result of the two companies working together to create a unique and flexible platform that integrates Applied Biosystems' instruments and software with Geospiza’s Finch Suite. These integrated solutions will, for the first time in a highly-affordable, commercially-available offering, give research and genomic core laboratories the ability to create streamlined solutions for the increasingly complex challenges associated with producing, storing and analyzing large volumes of DNA sequence, fragment analysis (microsatellite and SNPlex data) and PCR data.
Once installed, the Genetic Analysis Integration Tool provides users of GeneMapper® 4.0 and greater and SeqScape® 2.5 and greater with the ability to directly query and search data contained within the Finch Suite data management system. This is accomplished through the addition of a new database query tab within GeneMapper and SeqScape. Geospiza’s Genetic Analysis Integration Tool is already in production today at several customer sites that provide both discovery research and molecular diagnostics services to their customers.
