rPhrap Demonstration and Evaluation Download for Academic, Government and Commercial Use

This beta version of rPhrap, a DNA sequence assembly algorithm, is freely available for academic, government and commercial testing by a limited number of users.

To obtain rPhrap you must complete the registration form found at the bottom of this page and agree to the terms and conditions of the ‘GEOSPIZA ACADEMIC, GOVERNMENT OR COMMERCIAL BETA USER AGREEMENT’. Upon Geospiza’s approval of the form, you will be emailed the rPhrap application. Again, this beta version of rPhrap is freely available via this process for academic, government and commercial product evaluation and testing purposes only.

GEOSPIZA ACADEMIC, GOVERNMENT AND COMMERCIAL BETA USER AGREEMENT

rPhrap: A program that assembles DNA sequences developed based on Phil Green's Phrap program, University of Washington.

To use the beta evaluation version of rPhrap you will need to agree to the following conditions:

  1. You agree to an evaluation period of six months for the software. Upon completion of your evaluation period, you agree to destroy all copies of the software.
  2. You agree to read the documentation, and give us feedback concerning any parts that seem obscure, incomplete, or incorrect.
  3. You agree to give us feedback concerning program performance, ease of use, and the utility of various features.
  4. You agree not to make the programs (including source code, executables, or any part thereof, in modified or unmodified form) available to anyone outside your group, and not to put them where they may be accessible to outside individuals without your direct knowledge (e.g. on a computer to which people outside your group have log in privileges). The documentation, however; may be freely distributed. Refer any requests for the programs to the authors.
  5. If you are operating a computer facility which provides access to several independent investigators, you agree to set the permissions on the executables and source code to allow execute but not read or write access, so that the programs may not be copied. Investigators who want copies of the software for their own use must return a separate copy of this agreement.
  6. You acknowledge that the software is experimental in nature and is supplied 'AS IS', without obligation by the authors or Geospiza, Inc. to provide accompanying services or support. The entire risk as to the quality and performance of the Software is with you. GEOSPIZA, INC. AND THE AUTHORS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ANY AND ALL WARRANTIES REGARDING THE SOFTWARE, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES PERTAINING TO MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
  7. All members of your group with access to the software agree to the same conditions.
